These deluxe ships are privately owned and operated as "Star Clippers", by European businessman, Mikael Krafft, with office in Monte Carlo - Not a big corporation but a successful family yachting business with all the passion these beautiful ships inspire.

Mikael grew up in Sweden on the Baltic Sea and had a life long childhood dream to build and sail a historic sailing ship. His dream not only came true, but he has been able to share this passion with world, building 3 ships and providing week long (and longer) sailing journeys to unique destinations around the world.

Mikael keeps his own smaller sailing yacht in Monte Carlo and is known to sail with friends in the Mediterranean looking for additional small, unique towns that he can arrange for his big ships to visit.

Pushed by warm gentle breezes, vacation guests relax on decks without the noise of engines as the ship glides on calm waters from exotic port to port. Staying far away from most of the big cruise ship ports, you enjoy visits to many off-the-beaten-path hidden gems.

Meals, Drinks and Sunshine are served onboard daily.

Hands ON or Hands OFF?
Watch the crew raise sails, pull ropes, polish the brass, and tend to their seamen duties. Do nothing at all for a week or join in and help the sailors. Climb the mast to the crows nest, take a turn steering at the helm, learn how the sails are set, enjoy climbing out and laying in the bow net. This is not a overly regulated cruise ship, but rather a true sailing yacht. You are welcome to just relax and watch or join in with hands on.!

These are not some computer controlled cruise ship made to look like a sailing ship. These are real, deluxe sailing yachts, driven by the wind. Sails are raised, lowered, and trimmed to wishes of the ship's "sail master".

This is an experience of a lifetime with very deluxe surroundings, but these ships are not for everyone.
There is no age or other restrictions, but there are no elevators or wheel chair ramps. The nautical stairways from deck to deck make the use of mobility aids a challenge. All sailing itineraries are promoted for both families and adults, but these are real sailing ships and like any sailboat, potential hazards for small children do exist. Ideal age to bring children is 12yr+ when they are old enough to climb the rigging and enjoy the many swimming activities. .

A forth and even bigger new 5 masted sailing ship, "The Flying Clipper" will begin service soon.

Decor is deluxe nautical motif with beautiful teak decks, extensive use of beautiful wood interiors, and polished brass appointments everywhere. Guests are welcome to help raise and trim the sails, climb the mast to the crows nest, or adventure out on the bow and lay in the bow net. Visit the wheel house 24/7, see how they navigate, even take a turn at the helm. Includes all meals.

CALM WATER:
Most sailing itineraries are near islands and coasts that avoid the rolling seas so motion illness is not as prevalent as on ocean cruise ships. If the sea is active, the big sails in the steady breeze hold the ship in one slighted position and seldom have any side to side roll like power boats and cruise ships.

7 Nights couples "Deluxe Staterooms" start at $1690pp/do and vary by ship and itinerary.
7 Nights smaller bunk bed sailor style cabins start at $1400pp/do and vary by ship and itinerary.

SINGLE GUEST DISCOUNT:
Most sailings hold out 6 to12 cabins each week for single guests at only 150% of couples rate. Book early, these go fast.

Book up to 3 years in advance for best cabins and itineraries. Hold a specific cabin with only a small deposit of $400 per person. "Hold now, decide later" Deposit is fully refundable if canceled 125 days or more before sailing date.
